Last Saturday we had our first Town Hall meeting, and we want to thank the Merana team who facilitated a fantastic workshop, helping us to better understand our local history and culture of the Dharug people.
We love our new artwork from Jess Munro (MuluMulu Art), which everyone present got to contribute to. It helps tell the story of Eather Group and our purpose as a company and as a group of people.
The day included a Welcome to Country, cultural talk and language lesson by Merana Manager Melissa Stubbings, didgeridoo lessons, ochre, and a tools and cultural talk from the very knowledgeable Shane Laws, a cultural talk and tools display by Eather Group’s very own Allan Kelly and great encouragement from Merana Chairperson and our AES support partner Crystal Vella.
We also had delicious catering from our friends at the Jordan Springs XS Espresso café.
