It’s time to announce our brand-new truck in the fleet, and this one is a little different.
Welcome to the team SALLYN, our Mercedes-Benz Actros, and our very first Euro 6 vehicle.
The European Emission Standards are rated from 1 (worst) – 6 (best), and refer to the level of emissions, meaning our truck has the lowest possible emissions for a diesel engine.
Even more impressive is its long list of safety features that set it apart from any other vehicle on the road, from break assist to fatigue management. Thanks to the team at Daimler for showcasing and training us in how to use all the features.
Australian truckies have always loved Kenworths – and so do we, but after just a couple of weeks driving this incredible machine our driver Rob says he’ll never look back.
This is the first step in our developing Green Transport Plan, spearheaded by Executive Manager Sally-ann Eather, who is passionate about all things sustainability. Having championed many initiatives in our company such as our ISO environment certification, and our commitments to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this truck has been named in her honour…SALLYN! (We thought this was pretty clever
