More than 50 years ago, Peter’s father Albert “Hoss” Eather made a living as an operator working out on the original Penrith Lakes site.
Half a century later, a brand new Komatsu D155AXi-8 dozer rolls off the factory floor ready to head to Penrith Lakes, a site Eather Group has now taken over.
After 13 years of business we have our first brand new machine. She’s glossy, she’s automated, and she’s equipped with all the latest Smart Construction technology, unlocking a whole new world of safety, reporting, and ease of operation. This machine is the first step of a partnership between Eather Group and Komatsu that will ultimately provide many meaningful opportunities for local people; especially women, the Indigenous community, and the next generation of construction.
As she heads to site, we’ll be thinking of how proud Hoss would be to see how far his family (and air conditioning) has come.
Thank you for your time and partnership Komatsu Australia, we look forward to everything that comes next.
