Eather Group Announced National Sustainability Winners

Eather Group is thrilled to finally reveal we are the national winners of the first ever Sustainable Development in Family Business award.

This award recognises businesses that demonstrate leadership and commitment to sustainable business practices and the UN Sustainable Development goals. We received this prestigious award for our Indigenous Circular Economy in Action project in Artarmon, which saw us divert 200,000T of excavated shales from landfill to be rehomed and repurposed in the NSW construction industry.

Thank you Family Business Australia for spotlighting the significance and impact of sustainable solutions in all Australian industries. We intend to use this award to continue educating and advocating for a Circular Economy in construction.

As the inaugural winners of the Sustainable Development in Family Business Award, our own Divinia Eather was asked to represent Eather Group and share some thoughts on Sustainable Leadership with the other award winners during the conference.

Some interesting thoughts came out of the panel, sharing the challenges of being leaders in embracing the UN Sustainable Development Goals, as well as some advice for businesses looking to do more about their own sustainability.

Congratulations to the other award winners, Charlie Emery from Soilco Pty Ltd. and Corrina Wright from Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards, whose unique perspectives offered insight into the changing landscape of Australian industry.
